Out in the harbor, two little sailboats race for home under purple, red, blue and yellow sails. Regatta for Two adds raised silver rope masts and a pair of black seabirds who seem to be keeping score.

Boats and the sea are natural subjects for painters who grew up on an island ringed by fishing villages, and Haitian artists paint them with real affection. These two little boats look ready for a friendly race.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
