Purple eggplants ride high, and a bundle of sugarcane leans in close. Eggplant Express follows five market women across a burnt orange ground, each one moving with purpose toward the next sale.

Madan Sara is the Creole name for the market women who carry Haiti's trade from village to town. The burnt orange ground gives this crowd a warm, late afternoon glow.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists and is signed by the artist. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
