On market morning, about six women in bright clothes crowd onto a burnt orange ground. Blue Button Morning puts a lady in a blue button dress at the center, while a friend in a purple headwrap balances a basket of green fruit.

The Madan Sara are the traveling market women of Haiti, buying from farms and selling in town, and artists love to paint their busy rounds. This little crowd has the same easy rhythm, everyone carrying something good.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists and is signed by the artist. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
