White blouses and blue and yellow orange headwraps lead the eye across this cheerful little scene. Navy Border Neighbors shows two women from behind beside four round fruits in red, yellow, green and yellow orange, all wrapped in a crisp navy border.

Headwraps tied in bright cloth turn up again and again in Haitian art, each one a small burst of color and pride. On a clean white background these two stand out like a pair of flags.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
