This little sunburst never needs sunscreen, which is lucky, because it shines all day. Little Sunburst Window sets it in a red orange panel beside an orange and blue spiral, under a band of red fading to yellow green, all wrapped in a dark crackle border with raised curls and crescents.
The Haitian art movement took off in 1944, when the Centre d'Art opened its doors in Port-au-Prince with DeWitt Peters and a circle of Haitian artists. Its bold color and strong outlines live on in abstracts like this one.
This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists and is signed Rosenly. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.
It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.
Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.

For 35 years, TraderBrock has brought handmade artisan work from Panama, Haiti, and across Central America to collectors around the world. Every piece we carry begins in the hands of an artisan we know personally. Molas stitched in Guna homes, tagua carved by Wounaan hands, masks woven in the Darién, paintings brushed in Port-au-Prince studios. Our inventory runs over 14,000 pieces, curated from direct relationships that go back decades.
