One shopper in this crowd decided a coconut makes the best hat. Coconut Crown Crowd packs about ten women in white among pineapples, sugarcane, a plump purple eggplant and fruit dotted with little white stars, all under a strip of bright blue sky.

A market this full is the daily work of the Madan Sara, the women who keep Haitian towns supplied with fresh food. Look for the big green basket of fruit tucked into the lower left corner.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists and is signed by the artist. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
