Meet the stately crowd of Tall Tale Fruit Ladies, about seven friends in cream and gold dresses standing shoulder to shoulder. Giant fruits with leafy tops crowd around them, and a woven basket at their feet holds one big orange fruit.

Long, graceful figures and a fruit basket at their feet show how freely Haitian painters play with shape and scale. The teal and plum fruits, dotted with little black star blossoms, add a playful garden touch.

This original was painted in Panama by Haitian artists and is signed by the artist. It has been carefully stored and is in very good condition.

It is hand painted on canvas and comes unframed, as a loose canvas, ready for the frame of your choice.

Founded in 1991, TraderBrock celebrates handmade art from Latin America and the people who make it. Haitian paintings have been part of our collection from the very start, and all profits go back into the indigenous artisan communities we work with in Panama.
