ARTISAN CRAFTED: TraderBrock’s Baskets are handwoven by skilled artisan women in Panama using the two traditional coil weaving technique commonly known as Silk Stitching or Rib Stitched. This results in Baskets in a range of colors and designs. Each Basket takes anywhere from a day to months to complete.

NATURALLY SOURCED MATERIALS: Panamanian Baskets are handcrafted from a variety of reeds and Chunga the fiber of the black palm. Some of the natural dyes include Trumpet Vine, Safran, Lianas Vine, and Cocobolo Wood all locally harvested from the Darien Rainforest.

TRADITIONAL DESIGN: The original designs usually portray life in the Rainforest. Inspiration comes from the nature and beauty that surrounds them. Including local animals and plant life.

EMPOWERING NATIVE ARTISANS: Since 1991, TraderBrock has been providing Panamanian artisans with a global market for their handmade products. For the past twenty years all sales revenues have been reinvested into the artisan community of Panama. This includes education, medical care, land purchase, tools, and other needs.
